Need To Move A Messy Home? Here’s How!
As Americans we are more and more prone to hoard stuff. Sure, we rarely call it actual hoarding, but in the end of the day, we have a lot of things laying around. And we don’t even want them! They just keep finding their way into our homes and in the end we are left with a mess of a place.
However, the real problem comes when you have to move. After all, what are you supposed to do? You have a messy apartment, and you don’t even know where to start. It can seem downright impossible, but don’t worry. Today we have for you some professional tips on how to turn your messy move into a stress-free experience.
The Easiest Way Out:
If you just want to get that mess done with, the easiest way is to hire professionals. Many moving companies can help you with your move, but if you want the best, call H2H Movers! We are professionals who can take care of your move and sort everything out for you. What is now a mess will later be tidy and neat, when you move to your new place!
Your Other Options:
If you don’t want to pay for movers, but actually want to handle your own move, then you will have to work harder. Much harder. The truth is that if you don’t already know what you are doing, it will take you quite some time to research everything in order to be at least somewhat efficient. But don’t worry! We have 3 tips that can help you with that as well!
Step #1: Clean Out One Room!
Take one single room (a bigger one will be fine, but even a bedroom will be OK) and clean it out entirely. Get it as tidy as possible, without worrying about the mess anywhere else. If you need to move stuff from the room to some of the other rooms, just do it. But get it as tidy as possible, because you are going to need that space!
Step #2: Start Somewhere!
After you have a single room cleared out, you will use that place to sort through all the things in the other rooms. So go to a messy room and start sorting things out. Whatever you are to leave with you, take to your already clean room and don’t just throw it there. Organize everything. Clothes go together, books to their own place, magazines too (although these should rather be thrown out). You get the idea.
Step #3: Rinse and Repeat!
After you are done with a second room you can do the same procedure with your other rooms. Use the second room for items of the third one and so on. By the end you should have one completely clean room with nothing in it. Now you can just go to the previous place and start taking the organized things from there to the room you want. Or if you are to move, just pack them room by room and label them accordingly!
